Peshtemals
the Anatolian culture, pestemals is a rectangular cotton fabric woven on handlooms, traditionally used for covering in baths. Peshtemal is used instead of towel in the bath, on the beach, in the sauna. It has multi-purpose usage features as it is thinner and lighter than a towel and can dry faster. Quick drying brings its antibacterial properties to the agenda. Its water absorption ability is better than a towel. Like the textile materials reflecting the Anatolian culture, the peshtemals could not get rid of the authentic ornamental textile identity and the necessary design and design could not be made.
In order to carry the loincloth to the present day, to increase its attractiveness in shape and to improve the usage performance of cotton with raw material technologies, investigations were made and suggestions were made for its technical structure.
Demands in export studies have been instrumental in the development of new design models and shapes.
